Dreamland

In war-torn Iraq, 12-year-old Samir faces the daily horrors of gunfire and bomb blasts, yet today his mind is set on something different: a long-awaited soccer game. Holding the only ball in the village, Samir is determined to play, despite numerous obstacles—family duties, a domineering brother, an unreliable friend, the U.S. military, and even a bomb blast blocking his path. Amidst the chaos, he clings to a fading hope of childhood joy to experience the simple freedom of play.
